Each with browned twist octagonal sighted barrel engraved with a spray of foliage at the breech and signed 'SAMUEL NOCK. REGENT CIRCUS. PICCADILLY. LONDON. GUN MAKER TO HIS MAJESTY', case-hardened patent breech engraved with foliage, inlaid with a single gold line and with gold-lined maker's stamp 'S. NOCK LONDON', foliate engraved tang with standing rear-sight, flat bolted detented lock signed 'SAMUEL NOCK REGENT CIRCUS', engraved with foliage and monster-heads, and with traces of case-hardened finish, hammer with detachable nose, well figured walnut half-stock with chequered butt, engraved iron mounts, silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, dark horn fore-end cap, and later wooden ramrod (some surface corrosion throughout, one stock cracked through in two place around lock, one fore-end cap incomplete, some original finish remaining, especially in sheltered areas), London proof marks, barrelsmith's marks 'CL' for Charles Lancaster
