Sauternes, 1er grand cru classé. Château-bottled
The 03 Yquem is a decadently luscious drink at this stage, with a nose that shows butterscotch, pineapple, and a (premature?) hint of caramel along with plenty of wood. On the palate the wine is viscous, rich, and fat, lacking perhaps a bit of acidity. Nonetheless, this is a huge wine with enormous extract that will doubtless age for a hundred years. At the Mt.
