Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
--Vintage 1986
Levels bottom neck. One lightly corroded capsule. Two slightly stained labels magnum (2)
--Vintage 1986
Levels bottom neck. One slightly damaged and five slightly stained labels bottle (5)
Tasting Note: "The 1986 Latour is a massive wine, with dark, almost oily fig and blackberry fruit character on the nose and a Port-like richness with an undercurrent of earth, smoke and sous bois. On the palate the wine is full bodied and tannic, but beginning to show a bit of maturity, softening around the edges and drawing out on the finish. Spectacular." At the MW gala dinner at Château Pontet Canet. CC, June 2010
