Château Haut-Brion--Vintage 1989
Pessac (Graves), 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
Lot 257 excellent appearance and levels. Lot 258 very slightly bin-soiled labels. Excellent levels. Both lots in original wooden cases
"The 89 Haut-Brion blanc is almost unbelievably exotic, with profuse aromas of pineapple and coconut on the nose, colored with a hint of vanilla and buttered toast. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, almost unctuous, and very rich wine, yet it retains freshness and true balance. Wonderful." At a dinner organized by the Château in New York, CC, July 2010
