"Amazing. The 1990 Pétrus is a spectacular wine from a wonderful vintage. Still incredibly youthful, the nose was full of lush, ripe plum, blackberry and fig fruit character with a touch of mocha and brown sugar. On the palate the wine was rich, almost viscous, with a dense, velvety texture, soft tannins, and a wonderful balance. The finish was long and very harmonious. Drinking well now, this wine should last another fifty year at least." Dinner at Maison Boulud in Beijing, April 2011
