Saint Jerome hearing the Trumpet of the Last Judgement (Bartsch 5; Brown 4)
etching, 1621, watermark Anchor with a Circle, a fine impression of the only state, printing with platetone and with the parallel lines that run from the angel's wrist through St. Jerome very prominent, trimmed inside the platemark but retaining a fillet of paper outside the borderline, a few flattened printer's creases at the centre of the subject, two skilfully repaired tears at the lower sheet edge, otherwise in generally good condition
