Château La Mission-Haut-Brion--Vintage 1985
Pessac (Graves), cru classé
In original wooden case. One loose capsule in lot 213
Tasting note: The two most recent notes: fairly intense, still a trace of youthfulness - mature but with a glimpse of purple at the edge; good fruit but not easy to get to grips with though after two hours in the glass very forthcoming, touch of iodine; a dry masculine wine. Fourteen months later: deep, velvety; meaty, tannic nose; sweet entry, crisp, lovely flavour. Top class. Distinctive. Last tasted Oct 2005 ****(*) M.B.
