Château Mouton Rothschild--Vintage 1993
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
Tasting note: Three notes between 1995 and 1997: deep ruby; herbal, 'rustic' aromas; lightish style but very tannic and absolutely unready. Most recently, in an impériale: still deep; characteristic minty, eucalyptus fragrance; dry, lean, refreshing though an edgy, slightly astringent, finish. Last tasted July 2005 *** M.B.
