Lot Essay

Appelées poupées de fécondité, elles soulignent la dépendance de l'enfant à sa mère. Ces figurines en bois étaient portées par les femmes enceintes, serrées dans leur pagne, afin d'assurer la venue de beaux enfants. Elles étaient également données aux jeunes filles, la possession de la poupée leur garantissant une bonne fécondité.
