Ce manche d'éventail est surmonté d'une représentation de perroquet. Tim Garrard dans Art of Côte d'Ivoire (Genève, 1993) précise que ce thème semble correspondre à anyi ako (ou perroquet parlant), signifiant que le chef connaît tout et peut dire tout ce qui lui plait.
