Lot Essay

This painting relates to Sassoferrato's Madonna in the Museo Comunale in Cesena, Foggia (inv.55), which was executed in around 1686 and ultimately deliveres from Raphael's famous Madonna Contestabile in the Herimitage, St. Petersburg.
