Of exceptional weight, plain tapering on spread foot, leaf-capped handle and domed cover with regimental badge finial, front inscribed within a wreath tied with ribbon bearing regimental motto "Ich Dien", Presented by the Non-Commd. Officers, 3rd Dn. Gds. to W. Saunders, Regtl. Sergt. Major as a mark of esteem & respect on his leaving the regiment, 1865, Ahmednuggur
