Lot Essay

Another small plate is illustrated by Howard (op cit, vol II, p 685) who describes it as "from a small part tea service found in Scotland" and compares it with a blue and white plate of the same period with very similar inscription, but to a Dr Wright, both services presumably the gifts of grateful patients.
