The print source for the scene on this caddy, showing a gallant offering fruit to two ladies, has not been identified, but the coffeepot from the service is illustrated by Hervouët & Bruneau, op cit, p. 145, and was sold Sotheby's, Monaco, 19 June 1988, lot 1542.
