Big, expressive and quite forward aromas of earth and underbrush plus lovely dark, fully mature pinot fruit leads to muscular, robust and rich flavors of impressive complexity and a finish that is beautifully long and still noticeably tannic. However, there is a velvety quality that is already developing and it largely if not completely buffers the structure.
