Wonderfully complex aromas of earth, game and notable spice complement nicely rich and full flavors of real depth and weight, particularly so for what is a relatively light vintage. The other aspect that is so remarkable is how youthful this is and while the tannic backbone has completely resolved itself, the aromas and flavors display no post-secondary character. A really beautiful wine that is drinking perfectly now and should continue to hold for a number of years. Tasted: May 10, 2004 ALLEN MEADOWS
