A PAIR OF LARGE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE 'MANDARIN-PATTERN' VASES AND COVERS
LATE QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-95)
Of rectangular baluster form with iron-red and gilt zoomorphic handles to either side, the vases brightly enamelled with panels of figures at leisure in pavillions and courtyards with river landscapes beyond, all reserved on a turquoise relief-moulded seeded ground with gilt floral motifs, the domed covers with seated Buddhist lion finials
