Edo period (early 19th century), signed Shigekata
The oval-shaped inro decorated in gold and red hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, kirikane and inlaid mother-of-pearl with a praying mantis on a stand of cockscomb against a black ground; with peach-shaped ivory netsuke signed Ryomin and with kao (cursive monogram) and with lacquered ivory-bead ojime
