A gray schist relief of Buddha with attendants
Gandhara, 2nd/3rd century
Finely carved with the Buddha seated on a throne with his right hand raised in abhayamudra and his left clutching the folds of his voluminous sanghati, the face with downcast expression with the hair in wavy locks over the ushnisha, backed by a nimbus and surmounted by the fronds of a tree, surrounded by devotees in various garb
