                                            A bronze figure of Maitreya 
Khmer, Angkor period, Banteay Srei style, 10th century
Standing in samapada with two hands before him and the other two raised, dressed in a short sampot secured at the waist with a belt with a fishtail pleat at front and back, the face with wide features and serene expression flanked by pendulous earlobes, the hair in neat rows tied in a topknot and secured with a headband centered by a small medallion
