LATE PERIOD, DYNASTY XXVI-XXX, CIRCA 664-343 B.C.
Hollow cast, depicted seated and alert, forepaws together, long tail curled around right side of the body, muzzle incised with radiating whiskers, erect ears with horizontal striations, wearing a lion-headed aegis on its chest suspended on a cowry shell necklace, decorated with three tassels on the nape of the neck, with a naturalistic Khepri-scarab in raised relief on the crown of head
