AN ANTIQUE MICROMOSAIC BANGLE
The bangle composed of two hinged parts, the front with a fine micro-mosaic depicting Aurora preceeding the chariot of Apollo, after the work by Guido Reni on the ceiling of the garden pavilion of Palazzo Rospigliosi, Rome, with applied ropework edging and bead and wirework shoulders, the reverse spelling the word "Roma", composed of fine filigree rosettes and geometric wirework, Italy, circa 1880
