Each of shield shape, finely painted front and back with interior scenes, identified on the underside, including a Russian emissary before Charles VII of France, a ballad singer at court and Kaiser Rudolf II and his alchemist, between gilt bands of vine and medallions suspending garlands, on a conforming socle and square stand painted with four similar arched panels
