A LOTUS SHAPED BIDRI SPITTOON
BIDAR, CENTRAL INDIA, EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Rising from a short foot to fluted bulbous body tapering towards thin waisted neck before wide flaring cusped rim, the body and rim divided into seperate flutes each with playful silver-inlaid floral blooms, each individually formed, foliage within silver frames on neck with silver-inlaid chevron pattern, foot with register of cusped palmettes, in very good condition
