Arabic manuscript on paper, 317ff. plus 8 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of neat sepia naskh verging on sini, red-outlined yellow verse roundels, text panels outlined in red, black and yellow, sura headings in red within similarly outlined panels, margins with red outer rules, marginal medallions in polychrome marking various points in the text, copious marginal commentary throughout in red, green, yellow and black, opening and closing bifolios with dense gold and polychrome illumination surrounding panels with 8ll. of text, first fly-leaves with copious later notes, in red morocco with applied stamped gold central medallion, pendants, spandrels and border, cloth covered doublures
