AN INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
SIGNED ZHANG BAOTIAN, DATED JIAWU YEAR (1894)
The bottle is of flattened rectangular form and is painted with a continuous landscape scene. One side is finely detailed with a farmer walking towards a thatched dwelling by a field with hills and streams in the distance. The reverse is detailed with a wide river by more dwellings with distant hills and has two men conversing to the bottom corner.
2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) high overall, stopper
