AN INSCRIBED AGATE SNUFF BOTTLE
19TH CENTURY
The bottle is of round ovoid form and is carved to one side with a scholar reading a book under a tall tree, beside a line of inscription. The reverse depicts a young boy attendant brewing tea, below a crane in flight. The stone ranges from pale caramel to darker brown tones.
