Arabic manuscript on paper, 503ff. as numbered, each with 13ll. of black naskh script, with gold and polychrome rosette verse markers, within gold and blue frames, marginal markers in gold thuluth script outlined with black, sura headings in gold thuluth script outlined with black, each sura heading with a short contemporary commentary below in alternating red and blue naskh script, marginal commentary in red and blue naskh script, the opening bifolio a later Ottoman replacement, the added colophon signed Khattab bin 'Umar al-Danjawi, dated Sha'ban AH 890 and stating that this copy was ordered by Sultan Al-ashraf Abu al-Nasr Qaitbay, the last 14ff. an appendix by the scribe with commentary on Qur'anic reading and the numbers of the Qur'an, in original stamped and gilt brown morocco
