Arabic manuscript on paper, 417ff. plus 4 fly-leaves, each folio with 14ll. of black naskh between gold clouds outlined in black, with gold roundel verse markers outlined in black, sura headings in white thuluth script on gold within illuminated cartouches, text within gold and polychrome rules, marginal section markers in red thuluth script within illuminated medallions, catchwords, opening, intermediate and final bifolio with gold and illuminated margins, preceded with two extensively illuminated shamsas, followed by prayers, added date of AH 1240, in contemporaneous papier-mâché covered binding
