GRANT, JOHN PETER (EDITOR). THE BOOK OF THE BANFF GOLF CLUB BAZAAR. [NO IMPRINT]: 1 May 1895.
4°, red borders, wood-engraved vignettes, 8 lithograpic plates at end. Original tinted lithographic wrappers (spine worn).
Scottish club bazaar books are few and rare. Although Golf is supposed to have been played in Bauff for 400 years, it was only in May 1871 that organised golf was conceived with the foundation of the Bauff Golf Club. The name and structure of the course was changed in 1909, when it was renamed the Duff House Royal Golf Club. The bazaar book includes 'The Golfer's Song' by Jason Mackintosh of Banff.
