Of shaped baluster form, the hammered surface applied and etched with maple leaves and keys, applied with a silver beetle with gold spots, the handle surmounted by a silver frog with gold eyes, the base engraved Norwell to Shepard Jany 1st. 1881, marked under base also marked 5465/1939/967
