Lot Essay

Catherine Legge was the daughter of Catherine Fogg (1720-1759) and the Hon. Heneage Legge (1703?-1759), who held the office of Baron of the Exchequer in 1749. In 1765 she married Charles Chester, son of Sir Walter Wagstaffe Bagot, 5th Bt. and Lady Barbara Legge.
