Signed Masayoshi, Meiji Period (late 19th century)
Finely inlaid in mother-of-pearl, tortoiseshell and stained ivory with birds among flowers, each with silver mounts, the carved wood stands comprising six legs on octagonal bases decorated with lobed panels containing ho-o birds against geometric patterns
