Sealed Yamahara, Meiji Period (late 19th century)
The black lacquer panel inlaid in high relief with a finely carved ivory hawk and young on a wood branch amongst ivory maple leaves stained in autumn colours and two further birds, eyes inlaid in dark and light cowhorn, period wood frame carved with chrysanthemums
