An early 19th-century brass and steel phrenological measure,
unsigned, but engraved on one side of the arc D. :S and the other side E:, both sides also engraved 0-10 each division divided into quarters, the compass joint decorated with raised bands, 9¼in. (23.5cm.) long; and a coquilla nut nutmeg or spice grater, the fruitwood body with engine-turned decoration, the interior with ivory-mounted grater 3¼in. (8.3cm.) long
