A FAMILLE ROSE WATER POT AND SAUCER DISH

The interior of the dish is decorated with five iron-red fish and one grey fish swimming amongst sprigs of pond weed, an underglaze blue band of pendant ruyi heads encircles the interior of the rim, the exterior is decorated with five underglaze blue bats grasping a ribboned wan motif, the base has an underglaze blue four-character mark Yue yi tang zhi in a double blue circle; the water pot is decorated to the exterior with two phoenix, cranes, ducks in a pond and other pairs of birds on leafy branches in a rocky garden with peonies and lotus, the base with an apocryphal Qianlong iron-red six-character seal mark.
The largest 6 1/16 in. (15.4 cm.) diam.
