A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE MING-STYLE 'LOTUS BOUQUET' DISH
YONGZHENG PERIOD (1723-35)
The dish has rounded sides rising from a slightly tapering foot, the exterior is painted in the early 15th century style with simulated 'heaping and piling' and a continuous composite floral meander between key-fret pattern around the rim and classic scroll around the base, the interior has a similar meander surrounding a bouquet of tied blossoming lotus stems in the medallion.
15 5/8 in. (39.7 cm.) diam.
