DAOGUANG IRON-RED SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-50)
The bowl with deep rounded side and a slightly flaring rim is decorated to the exterior with a recumbent spotted deer with its head turned to the back looking at a monkey under a pine tree, the reverse with a crane in flight and holding a peach branch in its beak, all reserved on a pale café-au-lait ground.
4½ in. (11.5 cm.) diam.
