Lot Essay

Slesvig was built on the Clyde by Robert Napier in 1846 as the Copenhagen for C.H. Donner of Altona, Denmark. Purchased by the Danish government in 1848, she was converted for use as the Danish Royal Yacht from 1855 to 1880.
