Signed Harunobu, Meiji Period (late 19th century)
Of typical form, with inset ivory panel carved on both sides with figures having a picnic under blossoming cherry trees, the lower panel and sides with various picnic accoutrements such as sake bottles, jubako and a teakettle, on four feet carved with flowers and scrolling vine
