A VICTORIAN SEVEN-PIECE SILVER TABLE GARNITURE
MARK OF FREDERICK ELKINGTON, SHEFFIELD, 1883
Comprising four tazze, two oval dishes and a larger tazza centred by a flower vase, all chased with fruit, flral bouquets and leafage, centred by a crest and motto scroll, a demi-lion rampant collared and chained with Welsh motto Heb Dduw Heb Ddim, all contained in a fitted wood cabinet with brass handles and lined in red velvet, with inscribed brass plaque The contents of this case, a silver dessert service of seven pieces & one dozen dessert knives and forks, were presented to W.D. Phillipps Esquire on his wedding day, June 28th, 1882, by the employe's (sic) of the Traffic and Loco Departments of the North Staffordshire Railway
