Shaped oval on fluted scroll and foliate feet, domed cover with foliate handle, foliate rim and side handles, engraved with the arms of Archibald Campbell-Tait (1811-1882), Bishop of London from 1856 and later Archbishop of Canterbury in 1869, the cover with the bishop's mitre repeated thereon
