A HUANGHUALI CHEST WITH MIRROR STAND
QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The rectangular flat hinged top opens to a shallow tray with a pierced mirror stand decorated with flowers and lingzhi, the two front panel doors open to reveal the interior with five drawers. The box is mounted with ruyi -shaped fittings, a cloud-shaped lockplate, vase-shaped pulls and flanked by a pair of U-shaped handles, all in huangtong.
