Lot Essay

Masque représentant un esprit de l'air associé à la vie aquatique. Ces esprits apparaissent sous la forme d'insectes qui se rassemblent autour des mares ; ils peuvent aussi se montrer sous la forme d'oiseaux tels que le hibou ou l'ibis. Les dessins géométriques constituent un langage initiatique (Cf. Roy, 1987, pp.277-278 et fig.235 pour un masque comparable).
