12 volumes, 8° (185 x 122mm). (Some edges lightly soiled.) Original red cloth, original illustrated dust-jackets after Broom-Lynne, housed together in one blue cloth slipcase (dust-jacket for vol. 3 with small expert repairs, some early jackets with light wear or lightly browned).
FIRST EDITIONS. A very good set of Powell's much-lauded sequence of twelve interconnecting novels. Powell's roman fleuve, often compared to Proust, constitutes a panoramic view of Britain in the 20th century, following narrator Nicholas Jenkins and his contemporaries through five decades in a rapidly changing world.
