the earlier examples with hob-nail pattern cut glass tapering rounded oblong bodies with star-cut bases, each with a ground glass stopper, the hinged covers decorated with lobing and fluting, London 1890 - 6¾in. (17cm.), the later examples with inverted pear-shaped glass bodies cut with flowers and foliage, each with a ground glass stopper and hinged flattened cover enamelled in pink and black, Birmingham 1925 - 5½in.
