With signature Paulus Bramer, Amsterdam, probably 19th century
The case of typical form, the arched hood surmounted by giltwood figural finials, the dial with silvered chapterring inscribed Paulus Bramer Amsterdam, to a matted brass center with subsidiary seconds ring, date aperture, sectors for day of week and month, silvered alarm setting disc and moonphase above VI, above a polychrome painted dial with Diana and Minerva, above a recessed automaton scene depicting the punishment of Prometheus, a horn blowing angel, two rocking ships, sea creatures and Neptune, the four pillar brass movement with anchor escapement, Dutch strike on two bells with alarm; pendulum, four weights, door key and winding key
