3 parts in one volume, 2o (287 x 188 mm). Black letter and roman type in double column. Title and two sectional titles with repeated woodcut border [McKerrow & Ferguson 76]. Half page woodcut illustrations on A4 of part one, and on the first and last leaf of part three, woodcut historiated and floriated initials, typographical ornaments. B4 in part one, HH1 in part two and AAa1 in part three cancelled. (Four leaves with minor mariginal repairs.) Later half calf and boards (some wear to spine); cloth pull-off case.
FIRST AND ONLY EDITION of this collection including the works of the English reformers: William Tyndale and John Frith (1503-1533), Robert Barnes (c.1495-1540). All three were leading figures in Protestant reform in the years leading up to their execution. STC 24436. IN FINE INTERNAL CONDITION.
