We are grateful to Francesco Grisolia, who has suggested an attribution to Pasquale Cati for the present drawing. In an article in Paragone in 2010, Dr Grisolia reattributed the two comparable Uffizi drawings to Cati, identifying them as preparatory studies for the Stories of Moses painted by Cati in the Palazzo Altemps in Rome. Please contact the department for further information.
