MAKER'S MARK OF G OVER D.A IN AN OVAL, CONSUL'S MARK UB, PALERMO, 1823
The oval ebony base with pen depression at front, raised on four silver ball feet, the drum-shaped inkwell and sander flanking a bell with pen stand at either side, the bell with ebonised handle terminating in an ivory finial
